just remove from ur ignition barrel the "starter" wire, and extend it to the bak of the button, then give the button an ignition feed from somewere (an immobilised power feed would be perfect for it.)

to me, itd just be hooked up instead of the key, you turn the key to ignition, then hold the button, which powers the starter solenoid, till it catched, then let go of the button and shes all good.

Steve, I can now see why you wont be on the cruise on Sunday. Gotta say though, those personalised plates will finish it off nicely. I think it gives the car more character.

Keep up the good work.

Regards,
Craig.

upon closer inspection of the pictures i think i can see a tiny crack in the block that is very hard to see with a regular human eye other than my own.

Looking good Steve. Looks like you have given quite a bit of money to those crooks at pick-a-part. [}:)]

Did they look at the parts and then ask you what they were? I usually tell them it's a relay (or something really cheap). Have you chosen an ecu already, geez you don't muck around.

Craig.

Love your project,Im goung down the megasquirt raod soon with my Zetec 2.0ltr in my escort, is the edis module and the 2 VR sensors/wheel the only thing you need to connect to the MS for ignition? then obviously fueling(if you go injected).

What did the MS kit cost (roughly) if you dont mind me asking?
I was going to buy an assembled MS2,harness,and anything else needed, but that depends on the kits buildability(if thats a word)

How hard was the soldering with the kit??
cheers

Anyone chasing a drop tank for a Mk2? I now have one spare.

Pics tomorrow.

Steve, I am still chasing a drop tank for a Mk2. I want to convert it to take an in-tank fuel pump / filter assembly. (like what's in a commodore with a swirl pot). I thought the Mk2 would be finished by now!! [:x)]
