Gday new to escorts and plan on building up a 2lt pinto. Just wondering if people that have dynoed there cars give a rwkw figure and what sort of build they have to reach it. I would like around 85-90rwkw on the stock 32/36, not sure if possible but woukd rather keep it then fork out $1500 on twin webers which could buy suspension brakes etc. Hope someone can help, thanks

Those figures are doable with a 38/38 weber and the right work elsewhere.

What limit does the 32/36 get to usually? Plan is to build a nice 2lt then it will go back into another escort as a daily when funds allow for jap/cosworth project so dont want to spend huge dollars on parts if I can use the standard weber
Cheers

80kw would be alright for a daily id think. Only escort ive been in with a 2lt just had a 'mild cam' and extractors n exhaust n 'flat top pistons and it seemed to go alright with just that. Hopefully with bigger cam an burton stage 1 head should get better gains

Is the 38/38 weber much better then the 32/36? I always thought they were expensive. May have to get one, with a burton stage 1 head, decent cam on 38dgas would I reach 85-90rwkw?

You wouldn't bother getting a Burton one, just get someone decent to build you one in Aus.  With the right work those numbers are doable.  Can't comment on the Burton head work, never had anything to do with them.  Either way to do it properly you're going to spend a reasonable amount of money, the price of the carby is probably going to be the cheapest bit.
