Hi all,

I've got MKII Escort with an English axle that appears to be missing a bush in the center of the diff where the handbrake rod sits, so the rod just floats around in the metal loop.  It doesn't affect the operation of the handbrake without it, but all the same does any one know whether replacements are available, and from whom?  I've no clue what the thing is even supposed to look like.

Thanks!

Here are pics of ewhat you want but I have no idea of where you'd get one.

You could try a rubber grommet from clark rubber or somewhere maybe.

Cheers,

Matt

You'll like this one, was redoing the front suspension and noticed the same problem on my axle. Looked around on the floor and jammed the old inner tca rubbers In the hole they fit perfectly!

Hit the same problem when I first put the RS in for inspection back in 1990 - picked up a Mini front lower shock absorber bush off the shelf, fitted perfectly and has done the trick ever since...
