Ok so i bought a complete 1975 rn20 yesterday for $200 and plan on taking the diff, it is a g142 centre, now is there anything else i need to or should take from the car before it goes to the wreckers?and will it bolt straight in? also best choice of centres for lsd and best way to do a disc brake conversion keeping stud pattern the same?

Go R31 brakes... STD reshimmed LSD should be ok due to being a light car... KAAZ do great LSD's
Go Escort stud pattern, but thats your choice
And shut up about the price....
Keep the u bolts to use...

ok awesome any idea what year models had the lsd in them? being a nissan fan i am probably going to use skyline parts for the front brake upgrade, so keeping the 5x114.3 stud patern will work in my favour, and dw i nearly wet myself when i found this thing for sale on a facebook for sale site, and that they needed it "out of the yard by the end of the week, somehow 500ono ended up being 200 when i heard that.

cheers

Read this link about LSD's as not all of them fit without modifications ie.supra lsd's - http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conversions/4816-hilux-diff-centre-jza70-torsen-installation.html

Also dont re use the U bolts. For the sake off a few dollars get some new ones. Just for piece of mind if nothing else.

ok so i have found in one of my mate 4x4 Toyota 4runner wreck a diff with the code g285 so according to the code list this diff is a 4 pinion lsd, can anyone tell me if it will fit into the rn20 diff housing and the axles fit up and all that? think i'm gonna have to put the "all g series interchange with all g series" to the test.

Yes it should fit no problems.
