Good to see someone is pointing you towards the z32 box. my stanza m8 went through a few sr boxes before he went to a skyline box.

Hey Mark, the Z32 is the "poor mans Lamborghini" shape. Super strong g/box!

yer the gearbox cross member is getting modified wen its time to do the exhaust... and the turbo has got enough room to move with out hitting :)
and yer ill be rigging up a custom pipe for the top radiator.

once i get it back from the fabricator everything is getting modplated etc... everything will be engineered and legal :)

the adaptor plate is a 12mm ally plate which only bolts onto the top half... so u mill the 12mm out of the top of the bellhousing and the box bolts up... ill get a picture of it for ya.

yer the box is out of a twinturbo 300zx. it has veryclose internals to an rb25 box... but the physical size of the box is smaller...

Like you say there are a few adaptors around now
i'm am looking at the alpha omega kit..seems good quality and bolt on kit(things are never bolt-on i know!)

as have heard alot of bad things about the strength of the sr20 gearboxes!

-just on a side note i hear the boxes in the n/a, and turbo versions (300zx) are the same just have different speed sensors in them any idea's if this is correct?

hmmm this could be good for many of us doing the SR20det conversion. Matt if the fabricator is interested there could be a few interested...

yer ive heard of people using the alpha kits... i would look at getting a mazworks kit though... since the dollar is so good atm...

nar the cooler setup is just a 1 off for my car...

yer im not sure if the boxes r different or not... but id say they would be the same...

well wheels finally turned up. so happy with them...
rears r 17x9.5 with a 4inch backspace fronts r 17x7.
i was going for an FR style wheel (since Simmons closed) and found these... there custom billet's from the USA. worked out cheaper then buying Simmons especialy since the dollar is so good at the moment :)
