I've noticed Paul selling a few of his rear disc conversion adaptors which makes me hope a reliable working solution to the handbrake setup has been found [%]?

I've had my head under about 50 different vehicles at the wreckers and the best looking setup (ease of conversion) was an old Volvo 850 (circa 70's)

How have others gone about it to obtain a reliable function handbrake?

Cheers,
Rhys

Hi Rhys,

I have got this conversion working with a handbrake. Needed the handbrake cables (3) and brackets from the donor vehicle plus an adapter to make it all link up to the escort handbrake lever.

Can take pics for you in the next couple of days.

Only drama is that one of the handbrake cables comes close to the tailshaft - waiting to see if it will pass the pits!!!

Hi Rhys

Ash beat me too it - use the R31 donor cable and brackets.

This is my plan [%]

Thanks Ash and Paul,

Looks like thats the preferred method then.
I'd better get into it.

Been too long without a drive.
