Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Autotechnica seats. I looked at some today, look good, were comfortable and are ADR approved. Anything else I should know before I lash the cash?

Regards,
Craig.

They are alright depending on what you want them for. The importer is a friend of mine.

If you are after a more supportive seat for what is mainly a road car they are great for the dollars. As a full on race seat ... i dont think so.

The good thing with their seats is he has them made wider to fit the good old aussie frame even if you are carrying a few extra 6 packs. Most of the cheaper seats are made to fit little Chinese blokes.

I bought a set for the rs which is a road car. They are very nice and fit really well, although the model I went for is quite narrow.. I am tall and slim so they are perfect for me and fit the car quite well. I looked at some others but they were a bit wide for the little escort and didn't feel as nice to sit in.

Thanks for the info guys. I am still undecided. They are just cheapies for my Escort that sees the light of day about 5 times a year at the moment. Just wanted some seats that were a bit more comfortable than my current SAAS ones and for $299 for the pair I thought it would be good. You couldn't even get seats trimmed for that much!

Gonna procrastinate some more.

Craig.

about 6 months after fitting mine the bottom bit (where your butt goes) has faded at the front.. so I wouldn't recommend Autotechnica (although they are still extremely comfortable, much better than std rs seats).
