Not many small Fords in Classic Adelaide this year at all.
Quite disappointing.

Did I spy a TVR in the background?

The TVR was hooting along too.

Very sad that two competitors have been killed. Hopefully it doesnt begin to water the event down into the future.

On a lighter note I must say I do like the shape of the goldish corvette, dont normally go for the yank cars but this generation is Nice! Good photos, thanks for sharing.

was speaking to the guy who owns the corvette. its got all titianium internals and other things the "beef" it up. thats the way he put it anyway.
apparantly he is building another one for track use.

some people have too much money

Had another great beer enduced Classic Adelaide day today. what's happened to the event? No Falcons no Toranas?

Pretty average field these days. 2 Escorts.....?

Big Big thumbs up to Nick Lenthal in the yellow Mk2 Escort who without any bias put up the best corner effort where we sat. Good sideways!

Also as said in an earlier post, the TVR was pushing very hard.

Cheers,
Rhys

nice pic, he always pushes hard when driving the imp. had a bad day 1 though. way off the pace. the car didn't like the heat. but he ended up 4th in heritage at the end of today so not a bad recovery i guess.

@2lt_Scort, there was 2 Toranas one of which ended with engine troubles after Chain of Ponds, and there was two Falcons an XY and a couple-style.

We had a great week - car ran very strongly. I went to Toyos this year, and down from 205 to 185/60/13, so took day 1 pretty easy to learn, day 2 was wet and bending the car is not on my agenda so we were cautious, but then we gave it a red hot go on days 3 and 4. Was 10th in classic going into day 4, but the long, open Paris Creek stage killed our chances (4.4 diff and 4speed box...) and the Porsche that was on our tail took heaps of time out of us so we ended up 11th. Still, VERY happy. 23rd out of about 90 in heritage. The diff is now complaining, but that was our only prob for the event. Oh, except for an almost-off which I have footage of and will post - took out a couple of white (plastic) posts but avoided the descent into the trees...

Some pics attached.
