So coming back from the all ford day the other day, my brake pedal went soft, but continued braking, similar to the way an ABS system works. I noticerd afterwards that the brake pedal was harder to push, although she stil brakes and also the revs would lift as I touch the brake pedal. I am assuming the booster has failed and the revs lifting is to do with the vacuum set up?

Can someone confirm if I am on the right track.

To replace it seems simple enough with about the hardest thing being bleeding the brakes afterwards, can anyone also confirm this so I don't get any surprises midway?

Cheers

Sounds like a diaphram leak in the booster, but no need to disconnect master cyl lines so no bleeding required, just unbolt master and move aside, replace booster and refit master. You will have enough give in the brake lines to do this.
