I'm after some chrome gutter trim for my mk2 4 door, it seems readily available in the uk but is sold in lengths and I'm assuming these are to suit 2 door.
Any idea if anyone sells it by the metre? and how much do I need? (the cars in the paint shop so I can't easily get a measurement)

Seriously, dont bother.  I bought some and tried to use it when i restored my yellow 4 door RS and despite numerous attempts using heat and all sorts of methods could never get it to form the curves properly.  I ended up throwing it in the bin.
 
Its the curve around the c pillar that is the hardest to do.

drew i have some, but for the same reason as gdub. your welcome to it.

I bought some stick on trim, it looks ok i will post up a picture up tomorrow  if you want.

Any chance you could post up a pic Smallvan? That was the other option I was looking at, just a case of finding some trim with the right profile......

Motomobil - the german ford people sell chrome gutter trim. I bought some to fit on my 2 door RS- its a much thicker plastic trim and is actually chrome- not like the paper thin silver coloured stuff which came from the UK via SMCKA. I bought the stuff for a station wagon, which will have to be trimmed to size and will require some heat to bend to the correct shape. The price was good and came from them promptly. Have a look and see what you reckon - I currently have them trying to source reproduction C pillar trims for 2 doors.

This is the tick on stuff,from Ebay. I will get some better pictures when it stops raining.
