Okay not sure if ive posted this in the right area but here we go.

Ive been looking into modern running gear for my mk2, want a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing but with everyday reliability.
So im thinking ecoboost falcon, does anyone have one of these, or driven one?.
My local ford dealer doesnt have one on there forecourt as i wanted to get some basic measurements ie length, height, sump arrangement  of block, size of gearbox etc.
Apparantly the xr5 uses the same pistons and crank etc , produces the same power, but uses a different block for fwd configuration so couldnt get any info there.
I think this could be the future for a great conversion, cossie power from a standard unit, rwd configured from standard, and most of all its a ford

The eco boost Falcon engine is nothing to do with the XR5.  Falcon is 4 cylinder, XR5 is the Volvo 5 cylinder
