Aren't those the ones that Smacka buys in as in Hak073's post above?

Pretty sure SMCKA gets his from Rally Design (not 100% though) but the link was for GRP4 Fabrications.

Ah, ok Matt.
The OD of the stub shafts on my Mk2 struts are
Inner 26.98mm
Outer 17.42mm
So do I gather from Hak073's post that there is no off the shelf bearing to suit the outer dimensions?

EDIT - I have queried a number of the manufacturers mentioned previously regarding supplying the alloy hub to suit the smaller stub axle. I'm hoping the Grp4 item (RS2000 +10mm) may fit the bill and I will post an update once recieved.

OK, one other question after looking at Hak073's post........
Does the Grp4 hub position differently onto the standard Mk2 strut (ie further inboard)? It appears that this is so due to the vented disc fouling the calliper mounts etc.
In addition to the above post it appears RD also make a Grp4 hub to suit the standard stub shaft.....

They're now in the mix also

From SMCKA's website about the hubs -

NOTE: these will not fit directly onto Escort 2L struts without modification.
We do not reccommend these for these applications, as the offset is different and the bearing size is different.

I am not sure about the bearings to match the capri hubs to the escort struts.

Hopefully the RD or the GRP4 ones are a direct fit.

Cheers

Hmmm, the more I look the less likely it gets to finding an easy resolution if I want to use the Grp4 style hubs unless
  1. I use Capri struts (which I don't have obviously!)
  2. Use the capri outer and sleave the stub axle.
  3. Use the Escort outer and sleave the hub.
Reading more on the RD Grp1 hubs I'm thinking they're the identical dimentions to the stock hubs so whilst they may fit the Escort strut they will not have the extra 10mm to increase track.

Hi Paul,

Contact these ones as they have a separate item for escort, cortina & capri -

Few links from Turbosport to get more info on the hubs -

It seems as though the Escort hubs are the same as cortina ones so get some cortina hubs and you'll be fine.  Hopefully.

Pretty sure these are to suit the escort struts.  Contact them to be sure though.

Cheers,

No UK or Irish supplied alloy hub will fit directly onto an Australian 2L or 1600 strut. They use different offsets and bearings. The ones mentioned in this post are Capri ones, and about 30 quid dearer than other companies in the UK.

Thanks Steve,

Are the cortina hubs the same as aussie escorts?

Cheers
