Hello All.

Can anyone that has fitted Danny M's 60mm wide leaf springs (the one where the spring is located central on the front locating eye) to the rear of a MK1 Escort able to do some ride height measurments for me?
I would like to know the distance between the ground and the body rail eg near the jacking hole. If you can also let me know what size tyres you are running as well that would be lovely.

Thanks.
Joe Maher.

Bump.
Does no one run these springs?
Ok what about some standard ride heights?
My car is currently 185mm from the ground to the chassis rail measured to below the large hole in front of the spring eye mounting point. I'm running 205/50/15 tyres.
I would like to know what the standard height is and any other combos like the kings FOR-024.
I'm really just trying to get a feel as to what changes I expect when I change springs.
I'm pretty sure my car is sitting higher than standard but I'm not sure. I can only afford to drop my car by 1 to 1.5 inches

Thanks for any help.
Joe.

There is too much tolerance on the standard springs to give a "standard height".
I run a similar spring to these in my car.  When you order them you specify what ride height you want and have them made to suit.  Everyones needs will be different.

I have Danny M Mk1 springs - But they have been reset.
I can measure the heights tonight for you tonight if it's of any use...

Did we ever find an answer to this? Trying to figure this out myself, but my car already has lowered rear springs, so i have no idea how low they are from standard?

I have a set lying on the floor of the shed waiting to go onto my MK1.

When the nut off the RHR spring shackle fell under the fuel tank I wandered off in a huff and haven't got back to it.

Will probably get my rrrr's into gear in the next couple of days........

Two days off in a row. Yah!
Got the little bugger back together finally. More to do though I'm afraid as the rear is about half an inch lower than the front.
Any one got any ideas how to raise the rear cheaply and easily?
