these may be simply answered, but i have to ask these...

I have heard 1300 pistons are a good way to get higher compression. As i have a standard 1600 (not oversize), what part number / type of 1300 piston should I go for?

just been to my engine builder and he can get mahle cast pistons in for 200-220 with rings and standard up to 90 thou over i think he said, you brought a kent 234 cam didn't ya? if so the pistons will need to be fly cut

sorry to hi jack ya thread but have a question allmost the same, 1100 pistons in a 1600 gives you 11.5 to 1 compression what problems could come from this? would i need a hi torque starter? would bp's 98 ron be good enough fuel to use any other isue's? cheers luke

The more cylinder pressure you have the sooner the side will fall off the piston.

pretty sure they both have the same lift, so fly cuts will be needed best way put it together with playdo and see how much clearance you have
