may i ask what spec roughly are your gt engines? not trying to do you out of bisnuss just wondering what a rough run down of what i would need to do would be?

just go the to the formula ford website www.formulaford1600.com.au and it has the specs there.

I'm sure mk1 lotus has some of his own tricks but thats the specs and rules.

bloody hell they may as well run stock motors everything is bloody restricted haha, hmm if there making 100hp surley with a good head and bits and peices i should get around 125hp just looking into i atm stock 1600 will be the go for a start haha

yeah they're very ristricted but the guys who build them really know what they're doing, some of those cars are bloody quick.

Have a good talk to mk1 lotus, he really knows what he's doing, build's some very QUICK cars.

He also sells a lot of the bits you'll need to do your 1600 up, think he's a kent cams agent, very nice guy.

You would probably pull a few more horsys out of the engine if you inject it. I know 2l pintos gain 10bhp when injected.

Injected improves just about everything, id keep the carb though, some twin 45's mate and your little kent will be roaring all the way to 8000 rpm [:x)]

haha yeah my car i dont want to madify anything as in the invovles cutting or altering and i like the kents they have surved me well in stock form, hey lotus mk1,how much would i be looking at for you to build me a 125hp engine?,how much would it set me back just in mechining and parts? ready for me to put together, my uncles a mechanic and offerd to help me build an engine and i would like to do it my self just for the satisfaction of doing it my self,anyone can give people money to do it but i just like knowing i atleast had a go haha

Sorry to intrude but i was making 125hp with a stock engine. I was running a fuel injection and turbo though. But internally its stock:head,cam,rods,crank,main bearing caps,valves evrything basically and she was bloody reliable...till i got the hunger for more power[%]
