yeah.. must be real fun at your work

anyhow, thanks again for your opinion, but as my research finds that the average lightoff temps are around 250deg/c and positioning is usually under the front seats, im not concerned at all... plus its not like its going to be some generic family runabout

hey if we're being picky here about the position of the cat yes the front most position would be optimal and there would be a noticable heat drop possably not getting the cat to its full operating temp, but if the engineer is happy cool you could hpc coat it or use heat wrap up to the cat although some exhaust shops say it chrystalizes the exhaust pipe causing early failure but really by that time you would have scraped it or dented it and be up for a change anyway !!!as for the car top marks looks good and as long as your happy sod the rest ....

Tassie RS
Nice to see such a good escort project taking place in tassie. We are blessed with quite flexible laws down here so you shouldn't have too much trouble. Where abouts are you situated in tas?? Good work mate, looking forwards to the end result should be a beast.
PS: Just a road car or you gunna have a go on the track??

Why would it be harder up here in QLD. I had all those papers for my project and they were sent back saying ask the engineer. I got the go ahead, and then a fella i knew walked in and saw it and said when im ready give him a ring and he will sign it off no worries. RB20t btw.

As for the cat, their are quite a few cars where the cat is a fair distance form the engine, i think soarers or supras are like 1500mm from the engine. But this is a little bit far back for light off, but thats only if they want to get technical. As long as it passes thats all that matters.

cheers Anthony

Hey Josh.. im up central north, it will definately be seeing the track... just not sure at what point though, probably run it on si plates for a year or two before it gets a good hard push.. though will have to give it a squirt or 2 down the quarter before then.

Recieved my approval in principal from the transport safety divison yesterday

got 12months to get it completed otherwise I need to reapply.. pretty good motivation to get it sorted.

Well done niscort, That's not a exhaust, it's Art.
Good luck with mounting it up to body. Or are you sticking with the string?
