All i say for Holley carbs is throw in the nearest bin...or Holdungs(same thing!), i have used a 465 4barrel on a usa manifold, after weeks of stuffing and suffering about with almost success, it decided to spit fuel out and a fire started with minimal damage....off it came and back on went the 2x 40s..so much better!

350 holleys suck! I had one on my 2ltr and i had heaps of drama's. Played around with jetting,power valves just seemed more practial to go back to a weber.

I have had a 500 Holley on a standard engine.
Anything past half throttle would flood it.

It was cheaper on the fuel than twin 45's, as long as i didn't lead foot it everywhere.
I have never been as quick over the 1/4 mile with twin webers on a Pinto. The Holley did go well when up in the rev's.

I have the jet sizes i used if anyone wants to try it.
The Angular discharge Holley works the secondaries with vacuum.
these are the one's to use.

Hi Maxrs,

Can you provide me with some stats on your jets sizes for the holley carb you ran on the pinto?

Also, if I play around with jetting, how many sizes should I change at once? Only two lower? Or can I drop down 4 or even 6 sizes lower?

My best results were between 58-62 jets at the primary and 68-74 secondaries.
Holleys are easy to play round with.

The fuel float brass arm on my Holley started bending on me. Causing it to fuel up like a fountain after a tyre warm up.
Bending it back worked for a little while, till the float just snapped off.
