I think this applies to the later buckets(plastic), mine are pressed steel earlys(3/'76) round lights, there's no provisions for square light mounting that i've seen.

For the second time in a week, I have learen't something about Mk2 Escorts... (Having always though that the buckets were the same)

Having just been out to my garage and looked through my collection of headlight buckets from Mk2 Escorts - I can tell you that GDub and MartyMexico are both right and both wrong...

The square lights and the round lights I have - both have the same mounting point at the top, but do differ for the bottom mounting holes...

I have a couple of pairs of steel ones. Some have only the mounts for the round headlights, some have only the mounts for the square headlights, but I have at least a pair that has both mounts for either type of headlight...

I also have a pair of plastic ones and they have both mountings as well....

I must have had a pair of the dual mount ones when I swaped my car over years ago, as i did not notice any issues then, and I think I used the same buckets....

i had had square lights, had to get different buckets to fit round lights.
cant remember if they were steel or plastic though.
