All Mk2 Escorts used the C3 auto tranny...
Maybe try an early Mk3 / TC Cortina 2Lt... I know the later 2Lt ones (TE / TF) also used a C3, but maybe the very early TC 2Lts used the BW35...
Any particular reason for a BW35 rather than a proper Ford C3 auto which is lighter too from what I have heard...[x2x]
interesting.
i cant really find any info on the C3, other than in Vizards book, but half of that talks about the C4, unless that is a typo..
i have a BW40? i think from a falcon in the shed, and from info i can find, the BW35/40/51 are the same, but just progressively stronger.
i recently bought a supercharged pinto, and although its not a massive power house, its got quite a bit more poke than stock and im just wondering how the autos will hold up.
also the C3 uses a vacuum modulator to assist with gear shifts, and im not sure how this will work under boosted conditions.
theres nothing wrong with my auto, so its not a big need.
