Not a chance without surgery.

Why won't it fit without surgery or why put 250 xflow in a mk2 cortina?

It'll fit if you really want it too, I can send the dimensions from my 6cyl TD if you need a reference on how much room you'll need.......
Why not an Essex V6 or a small Windsor V8, may be easier options.......
Cheers Drew........

Why would you put a big lump of an engine as a 250.

I seen a 250 log motor in a mk1 Cortina back in the 80s as a road car.. It fitted but some notching was applied to the bulkhead which is all I remember being only 12 at the time.
An alloy head 11 is the way to go if attempting this. Cheap and powerful ....my neighbor had one in an Anglia sport sedan!
