Hi Guys,
I have just installed a race seat in my MK2 and now (due to a permanent injury to my left arm) the gear lever is not in a comfortable place for quick gear changes when I am harnessed in.  I am building a club level track car.
 
Is it possible to just bend the lever towards me and thus make it 2-4 inches closer?  If so, how would you do it?
 
Are there any other options?

Oxy my friend and you can bend it to where ever you want it.  I have one if you want to bring it over
