Struhey, Im ordering some springs for my mk1 escort fitted with 2.0 struts, the question is are 2.0 ghia and rs struts the same ,im wanting to lower the car so would 2inchs be ok and what lbs should i go for for road use, cheers.

Australian Ghia and Rs 2litre struts are the same i believe. (1.3, 1.6 etc had a smaller diameter shock).
It was only the UK ones which varied.

Lowering depends on a few things, do you have standard or RS mk1 guards? What size wheel/tyre etc? 1.5"-2" is usually fine. 
I saw some King springs on ebay recently. $135. Seems alright.

cheers mate, thats what was confusing with the struts cause i was ordering from burtons and it said rs and non rs, so i just order rs springs then, i have standard guards, fitting 13x7 superlites dont no what size of tyre to go with yet, any suggestions, thanks

plus with the tie rod ends, i have the fine tread steering rack, can i get tie rod ends to suit this fine tread from rack to the 2.0 struts cheers.
