i know 5 inch dont fit lol, is a telltale with shift light so will only be mounting shift light in cluster. Tach can go anywhere , push the button later to see what revs it pulled. i dont look at the mantle piece when i am stoking the fire

Cheers mate,

Just the tacho doesn't work so am pretty sure the earth is grounded properly.  Everything else works fine.

I have tested all the wires in the loom that go to the tach and all work but I not sure on the signal wire.  I ran a wire from the -ve side of coil to the plug but still nothing.

Might just drop the dash into a repair joint.

Cheers,

Matt

Test the 3 above connections to make sure it is tacho that is definately faulty. Test where tacho bolts up to the plastic backing.

Cheers,

The pic is a little blurry but is it 12v to both points and then coil -ve to the other.

Does it need a ground?

12v- is what threw me.  I know just enough to get myself into trouble but not enough to get out of it.

Thanks again mate.
