Cheers guys, the first pic is an old one i was just trying an old pic to see if it would work.

maxrs: we will see how we go, still thinking about if iam gonna do it but atleast i know you got one cheers.

mad mk1: cage was a custome job by "extream custome engeneering" (been there many times highly recommend if your in the brisbane area) but yer its a full molly, tig welded, built to cams specs and should have no trouble in getting it approved.

But it all depends on who you go to as one guy wont mod plate my seats as there solid mounted but then i rang another guy and he said he sees no problem in doin it. Just gotta ring around.

cheers

mine was $1650, brother also has a fully chrome molly weld in 6point cage with side extrusion bars built to drag spec standards and that cost around the $3200-3400 mark, yer there might be cheaper guys out there but the quality of his work is top notch
My brother and i only use him so if you want anymore pic of his work let us know.

he is in Coopers plains just off beaudesert rd.
His just by himself.

cheers

hey guys, thought i would post some update pics.

car is now in primer but while it was at the painters i came across an FJ20ET, ive always wanted either a cosworth or FJ20 but for price, reliabilty and power couldnt go past the FJ aswell as being somethin that not many people have done.

so at the moment the engine is fitted, sump made, plenum is almost finished, tunel been trimed for the gear box, steering had to be moved 3inch for clearence for starter motor and x-member droped 35mm so could fit a sump.

has still got a long way to go but will post some more pics up later on, iam over the moon with all the work so far so hope use like it aswell. dunno if this pics will work can never get them to work anymore. cheers

Very neat conversion.

I especially like the way you/they? have overcome the sump issue.
Way to think outside the box,,

That looks neat. Is the FJ going to be happy mounted vertically?
