How do I go about removing the pistons from disk brake calipers. I levered them in to put on new pads but they seem to be seized in.

A blast of compressed air in the inlet usually pops them out. Make sure you place something over them as they may come out at a rate of knots and be warned - they don't need much pressure!! [:u]

Yeh as Paul said don't have your fingers in the way. Compressed air a rag and usually a bit of timber works a treat.
But if they are seized you may as well do a seal kit, cause they may stick on

was rebuilding a volvo caliper at work.. had it split and had one piston that was seized solid.. we cranked the compressor to 140psi and filled it with crc.. i put the pressure behind the piston and it didn't move at all.. just as i was releasing the pressure i glanced to check for any air bubbles around the piston. BANG!!!! piston to the eye.. O_o.. ow.. and then the boss had the hide to tell me i wasn't watching wat i was doing... how did i get a piston to the eye if i want watching lol..

That reminds me of the video we had to watch at trade school about fitting split rim tyres. There was a bloke sitting on the rim as it inflated and BOOM!!! Next thing he is stuck to the roof and pieces flying everywhere. Think it was a dummy but the effect was good.
