Just stripped a motor down and it seems to be a pretty hot motor by the looks. Its got a cam tech cam, ported head nice valve job etc

Pulled the pistons out, they are marked, eb 397 P S and then U.S.A 1 on the other side.

They're 30 thou oversize but i think one may not be salvagable as it looks like its got too hot and melted a little.

Can anyone tell me what brand they are, and also if they're anything special??

They sound like Federal Mogul/Sterling pistons. Just an off the shelf cast piston. They are not a bad piston, much better than alot of aftermarket items. Certainly not I would call a "race" piston, they are fine in a half healthy pinto,
