Try an Autobarn, they are usually very helpful.

Thanks Craig

Go to Autobarn (or Repco) and ask for a CPC SL70 cap.

I am assuming you still have the side fuel tank?

If its a drop tank (later MK2) its a SL44EC

If half the key is in the lock, take it to the local locksmith. They'll have it fixed within no time and can cut you a new key.

that'd cost more than the new cap, try bursons or R&E aswell

Doesn't cost that much. Just take the cap in to them.

I have a locking fuel cap with a key for sale suits Mk2 Escort with rear filler.
I tried to sell it on ebay a few months ago however the buyer didn't ever getting round to paying.

If interested I will post up a piccie.

by rear do you mean drop tank or side tank? or are the caps the same?
(different part numbers?)

hello Sterling,
Rear, between the tail lights, behind the licence plate.
Not sure if the same as the side mounted filler cap.
