fitted my WCXM today. just wondering if its sitting correctly.
on the rh side (passenger) it sticks out a fair bit



the left hand side the lip sits flat against the chassis rail. is this normal?

much better mounting system. supports the motor better and somewhat quick release being just one mount bolt on either side which is accessible ( more so than standard)

i just had a look at my crossmember, (standard)

mine sits about 2-3 mm out on the p/s

and easily over 5mm on the d/s

im not much help am i? [:o)]

I think this is normal.

The drivers side has an additional stregthening plate (my mk2 RS2000 does) which is missing from the passenger side. Also make sure you have a packer on the passenger side between the WCXM and the chassis to replicate the missing plate found on the drivers side.

I don't think the 1600 XM has the packing.

yeah my standard one on the daily sits out on the passenger side too.

im just curious
