One thing about sandblasting is the grit gets everywhere, in rails, gaps that don't exist.. my last car went on the rotisserie and was slowly turned and hoovered for a few hrs, when I was done I done it all again, the stuff just keeps coming out, air compressor helps heaps to flush it out as you go

True about grit. I plug the holes and tape them to minimise but it goes everywhere. Easy to clean out but takes time. Also warping panels can have slot to do with grit size pressure and patience. I just used washed sand and recycle it 4 to 5 times untill it's powder.

My brother's plan is to have it sand blasted at a later stage prior to painting, the outer body. This will remove tempary etch primer, surface rust dad left behind, mic states to roughin up the panel is good.
He has alot of experience and knowlage when it comes painting.

Bonnet and roof are easily done by sanding rest of it is sand blast. Never both sides of same panel ( that though is when it's done quickly by huge machine blasters).

Paint within wheel arches were always mat black on every make and model Ive ever seen, and I believe "factory".

However, many owners who do 100% full-on restos and "rotisserie" bare metal resprays desire to

show their hard work adorned by "same-colour" 100% everywhere underneath as well as inside.

Hi Maddi
Jumped on line to see if there's been any more progress to your car?
Please show if so.
For me, nothing seems to be taking place,
Thankful tho he managed to put his hand in his pocket to buy all the materials needed to prepare and paint.
