Hi Maddi. Welcome and hope you learn a lot from the info available here. I think you meant 1971 V6 GT though. In time we welcome pics. Dad.

So this year I went to capriciation 2019 for the 50th anniversary and I like the capris before but after going there I fell in love with capris. I remember just looking around at the car show and how many people love capris like me. After coming back from Capriciation I asked my dad if I could have 1 of his Capris and he give me the car of my dreams. Now we have to build it together as a family

Very good Maddi

can't wait to see your Capri V6 that you and dad are going to work on !  Like you, I chanced upon a Capri GTV6 that
I intended to "flip" for a quick buck, but after driving it back from 200kms Ballarat to Mornington Peninsula, I too fell in love with such a pleasurable car to own and drive. For now, I've decided to leave her in her original condition and appearance: she can only be original ONCE!

Reeni, you havent got time to stand around looking beautiful ! That beautiful Capri behind you needs to be completed in time for the upcoming Capriciation ..........  5 years goes so fast! ..........Almost a year has gone already !  Hope Santa brings you all lots of replacement parts for your Capri !

Merry Christmas and Happy New Capri (er, I mean Year!) , to everyone !

Dad knows what he's doing! (not tightass)! .........  squandered money on frivolous un-necessaries is money you'll never see again, and deprives you of completing your dreams; whether it's a house or a Mark1 Capri !

Thanks Reeni. I prefer to put it on a rotisserie and sand blast outside outside. Much quicker and easier. There's a bit of cleanup to do for sure but a better result. Maddie's car has little rust only one A pillar which has Expressed Steels full replacement to weld in. Apart from that it's just a dent or seven to fix. It's a numbers matching White V6 Auto so will great for her second car ( she will learn to drive a cheapy first. Keith.

Sorry but that's debatable.  When panels are pressed they are stressed and this is how they hold their shape.  Sand blasting is the best way to stretch and ruin your panels because blasting stress relives them - similar to shot peening.  Too much heat from sanding can also stress relieve them.  Paint stripper is the best way.

Is that the same one with red interior or did you find another one?
