Just had a quote for a full replacement of my mk1 escort hood/roof lining in the repro 'crater' vinyl, look identical except for being off white not yellow and stained and ripped etc.
Just wondering if $400 bucks installed is good?
I feel its very reasonable, given the only other quote was about $1200. He will remove and install onsite.

i just payed the same amount in my escort van and this was a cash weekend job from a mate of a mate. i got same material as 
$400 is good in my opinion.
 

i have refitted my own, and honestly if i could have found 400 bucks to have someone to do it for me i'd have bitten their hand off.

my 2 door mk1 got done in moon crater off white for $330 installed, including visors, so $400 is pretty much on the money.

 

 
 

You guys buying the roof liner already stitched up ready to install?  If so, from whom?

I get mine for $150.....but they not as original. I get them done in seat trim fabric, hence the cheapness....and i fit them myself.
I take the original 'dead' lining to a trimmer to copy...easy as !
If i could drive a sewing machine which was given to me i'd try making 1
