Hey Guys,

What does everyone make of these steering wheels???

I've seen them on a few race Escorts and they seem to look pretty tidy, however this ones black suede not vinyl/leather. I'm kind of going for the all vinyl look on the interior at the moment and I'm wondering if anyone has installed one of these and how they look (with original door cards and centre console etc.)

I guess I don't want to whack it on and go, "ah feck, the suede was a real mistake"... I appreciate the look of it and i'm into the dish, just wondering about that suede lol.

Just like the elbows on your grandfathers suede jacket, it'll smooth of eventually, a good excuse to drive it more.[88]
On a serious note, I think it'll look fine.

Doesn't the wheel get a bit close to you with the boss kit and snap release kit as well as 4" of dish???

If I remember, i'll take a shot of the omp wheel next to a standard one. It's not much different.

I bought a flat one from this guy for my mk1 cortina, no dramas, got it within a week

Ive got the deeper dish version of that Momo without the chrome, everyone loves it (including me) cant even tell its fake :P only paid $80, still want the nardi, just too 'spensive.

I bought one of the OMP knock offs as well.
 
It does sit a lot closer but I like it as it gives it more of a rally style.
 
Other than the yellow stripe not being the straightest it looks great.

i got a 4 inch dish suede omp ebay jobbie and love it, looks a little race in my granny spec office, but im usually looking straight over it and it feels real good in the twisty stuff plus clears my knees. so my opinion do it
