Will the brake booster bracket need any mods to fit twin carbs with a 3.1in high manifold. Still tossing up carb options?
I like the look of the piper cross air cleaners, Has anyone put them on a xflow with twins and brake booster still there?

thanks Sean

Yep, the bracket will need to be lowered so carbs can fit over the top

Im pretty sure you can get twin carb manifolds off ebay or some sites that angle up just enough to clear the booster.

Instead of going throught all the trouble to move the booster a tiny bit you maye aswell just delete it and get a bias pedal box IMO.

You will not get the PX600 Pipercross filter in there with the brake master cylinder in the engine bay, regardless of what you do. Trust me, I spent well over $2,000 trying to get one of the things to fit with new carbs, manifold, reservoirs and ended up using K&N.

You may be able to use twin's if you drop the booster down but I think your filter options won't include a PX600

And to make it easier to fit K&N (with centre bolt) cut filters and make up 2 alloy joiners with small tabs that fit under lid to secure in place.
