Hey just wondering if anyone can tell me a decent electric fuel pump i can get for my 1.6l, its got a single 32 DGAV, ported manifold. full exhaust, electric ignition. I wanna gte rid of the mechanical fuel pump. and replace with a electric one with a regulator. Will adding a tiny bit more fuel pressure increase performance?

Cheers, Brandon.

Considering a standard mechanical fuel pump on a 2 Litre engine will run twin carbys on a good horsepower engine, you shouldn't need an electric pump for a single on a 1600.

Save your money and put it towards something else.

When you do start to run out of fuel on a carby system, Carter fuel pumps come recommended.

Carter 4070 is the one in my oppinion. You might even consider fitting an inertia switch on the power line to the pump for extra safety (to prevent pumping fuel into a potential fire in the event of a prang)
