Hey Marty,

Do you still have the car?

If so, can you post any pics of the seat mount setup you have done?

I am still trying to work out the best way to fit the buggers.

Cheers

I couldnt access my mk2 due to its trcky hiding spot....but... i have pics of my mk1 Escort chair mountings, mine are from a Mistabishty L300 van, identical to Cordia '84-'88 seats , i owned a Cordia GSR Turbo back in '93-'98 which is where i got the idea from.
Pics aren't great but give you an idea...
I reduced the pics 50%....still huge , lol

This is the rear inner mount, prolly the easiest to do.

If you remove the Cordia runners you also remove part of the mechanisms that do the flip forward & slide, not good! Best to modify car to suit Codia runners, you know they work well so why mess about tacking on 'old' Escort tracks. best bit is you also sit about 2in lower in the car

Hey Marty,

Thanks heaps for the pics.

I can't quite make out what exactly you have done with the rails.

Are you using the escort ones or not?

My problem is that the seat hinge is part of the seat runner. so I can't just thow them away and use the escort ones.

Thanks again for the pics.

Hi, i used all the Cordia runners on both of my cars, pics are from the passenger side seat
The 1st pic is the pass. side outer,
2nd pic is rear inner(next to tunnel)i did cut the Escort floor mount down half way and welded the top plate back on.
the 3rd is front inner.
I was unsure how to tackle the problem so i removed all the Escorts floor mounts and started from scratch using some of the floor mounts cut /widened, whatever needed!!
Cheers
