got a bit more done today,
We spent a bit of the day chasing some manifold leaks and a minor oil leak, and just ironing out a few things we noticed last week when we started it up.

we are having issues with the vl fuel pump, it is gravity fed and seems to be sitting to high to get any fuel once the tank is down to about 15 litres. so once its run for a while it runs outa fuel..
Not something i want to happen once on the road, so we tried lowering the fuel pump, but being a van and the tank is  under the car and where the exhaust will exit the car we are a bit stumped on were to mount it

One consideration is just making a bracket so the fuel pump sits even lower or running a lift pump in front of the vl pump..

We also started on the exhaust, its running a stainless 2.5" set up that is being fabbed up by a mate at the moment. The pics taken are of it only tacked together, but it should be tig welded up in the next few days.
we are holding off on the tailpipe as we need to see were the fuel pump will end up. and the tail pip might possibly side exit the car after the rear wheel.

I also mounted the wideband afr gauge so when we start it in the future we can see how rich its running

im starting to see it all slowly come so much closer to being on the road.... be good too as there are a few nice turbo vans coming together in adelaide at the moment...
