Looking for an Inlet Manifold to suit a Single 45 Weber to fit a 2 Litre engine for my sons Escort. The existing Lynx one is too wide (about 132mm roughly)and too hard to change the Airfilter as I can barely get a credit card between it and the Inner Guard. Does anyone have one of the shorter manifolds for sale.? I think they are about 110mm -115mm wide, which will allow 20mm for the filter to be changed easier.

Hi Ulsterman,

The shorter manifolds and any other manifolds for the single 45 on a Pinto don't work properly due to the runner configuration. They create poor flow, poor economy and very poor performance.

If you need to replace your Lynx item (which is the only manifold worth using) like you say you would be far better off sourcing a standard manifold fitted with a 38/38 or 40/40 downdraft. This will save you the headaches of getting anything else to work properly on your engine, and out perform all of the alterative single sidedraft arrangements. It will more than likely end up cheaper as well.
