hey there .... i'm from MALAYSIA, just wondering if u guys might help me out ...

i've rebuild an 1600 x-flow engine with a modified 1300cc piston with the raised compression of "10.25 CR", standard valves , i've done a mild porting on the head increasing of 10cc in each port , and its using a PIPER 285 camshaft with twin valve spring ,1300gt flywheel and fully balanced engine and electronic distributor ..... i've retain the single single DCNF 36 which i used during the engine was standard to compare the performance before and after being modified ... the results is: YES i do get increase of torque and power but not much compare to the standard engine ... is it because the setup of my engine with the piper285 required to run on a twin 40's .... i would really appreciate all the information u guys can give ... THANKS

no you are not but again thanks mate for those lil information .... i've already have a set of 40's and the manifold .... its just that i want to compare the performance of the engine before and after being modified based the same carbie .....

I have 2 other question which I hope u guys can help me out

1st- what should the valve clearance be on my engine based on the given spec above ...

2nd- what is the best setup on the twin 40's based on my engine setup .... im looking for more low and mid torque/acceleration ... im not really concern on the top end speed ... i want it to really take off fast all the way up to 160/180 km/h with lots of torque ...

choke size ??
main jet ??
idle jet ??
and others ...

thanks guys
