Hi all. I know I've asked this before but can't find the information.

Will be starting my engine up soon and can't trust the dipstick.

Thanks in advance.

Actually the height of the oil is the key, not the capacity......The trick is to have the correct oil level up from the oil pick up.
I have a massive big wing sump, the correct oil level is still the same on the original dipstick. I checked it without the sump fitted too, just to be sure!.....and sorry I do not know the capacity, I hope someone else will help on that....

hi mud,
according to the haynes manual for the english mk2 rs2000 and mexico, the sump capacity is 3.75 litres including oil filter. if you are just changing the oil and not the filter, the capacity is 3.25 litres.hope this is what you are looking for.
regards,
Liam

Cheers Liam, the only thing I'd been able to turn up by googling also suggested it was 3.25 without filter.
