alright thanks for clearing that up woz.

engine still doesnt run too well with the standard carb, but i wont mess with it, im just saving to put the twins back on and get a dyno tune.



If they're Gdub's old carbs they shouldn't need much of a tune, think your problem may be elsewhere,

i think so too, it wasn't so much choking or backfiring, the engine just got harder and harder to start to the point where it was undependable, and started lacking power.

I had this problem as well, engine was difficult to start (cranked over very slowly) and had crap power and very poor acceleration. Turned out the timing was way too advanced so I would suggest checking this.
