Hi
Have just installed Zetec and Ty9 in my mk2. I'm using 1.8 blacktop fly redrilled to suit pinto friction and pressure plate clutch, pinto release bearing, xflow bellhousing, release arm and bearing carrier. Problem is the clutch release arm travels to the limit without disengaging the clutch. Where am I going wrong? Is there a thicker bearing carrier or spacer on a pinto setup? Help
cheers

I used the pinto spacer block and bolt. I would (to late I know!) dummy it all up out of the car. Experiment with different spacer blocks. lots of variables like pressure plate clutch plate, release arm condition (ie bent), cable types & stretch, pivot spacer. Rip ot out mate.

Thanks for that, figured there wasn't much to do other than rip it out and start again. Off to the 'wanted' section I go

are you using the spacer block under the pivot,if not easy enough to make a block up to desired level for operation

Thanks Dave. I'm not but it sounds like i need to be using a spacer block. I'll have to have a look once it's out again. Ash mentioned in my 'wanted post' approx 25x25x15mm with an 8mm hole or something like that.
