I've just got from Adelaide, and on the way back I noticed a strange knocking sound coming from the front. It was only happening while the car was movie, so I know its not the engine as I was revving it stationary and everything was fine.
I have checked all of wheel nuts and two on the left front were loose with a third just starting to get loose, I have now tightened these, but haven't driven the car yet.
What are other things to check for just in case it wasn't the loose wheel nuts causing the problem?

It was the wheel nuts.

i had a rattle gun sound coming from the front of mine, turned out to be the strut insert nut came loose and shocky was shuttering up and down in the tube

iv had that happen a few times.
never sounded like that though.
jut a random knocking noise.

yep same!

have you checked to see if you have lost your cat?

i had a knocking in my front left, would do it bad when going over bumps and really bad if the left wheel was unloaded cornering and going over bumps. turned out to be the steering rack shaft bushing

haha, it started too far away from to be my cat[:p]

It turned out just to be my wheel nuts, but when ever something like that happens I always fear the worse. Kinda annoying as I only checked the wheel nuts about 3 weeks ago.
