The bolts for both are 10mmx1.5mm thread in varying lengths. Check my Corty build thread for a pic of the late alternator bracket,a VL Commondore 6cyl Bosch alternator is a perfect fit...just needs an appropriate pulley

Cheers Phil I have Ef alternator that I have to change the pulley on
any way.

Does anyone happen to have a bracket laying around?

The EF alternator fits better with an alloy cortina mount, the best combo that I have found is the late cossie mount with the VL Bosch unit...being perfect without mods other than the pulley change.

Below is the EF style Bosch unit on a 2L Cortina bracket...fits but is a mix and match.

Top Centre in the below pic is an alloy version of the late Cossie bracket, I have a modified original bracket which is steel if your interested,it has been modded to lower the alternator by about 10mm.I have a vbelt pulley to suit a Bosch alternator as well if thats what your running.

I've also got a couple of the alloy Cortina mounts if you would rather go that way. One other advantage of the Cossie mount is that it fits up with 4 bolts instead of 3 with the Cortina mount.

Cheers,

Phil.

Hi Luke,

Studs will have to come from the UK as they are a special type with extended tip to reduce the chance of breaking. I will weigh it up but can hopefully sneak it into a 3kg bag @$10...will let you know
