hello,

in regards to the fitting of bumperettes, do the std front brackets work or do you need different brackets to fit them?? i had a quick look last night and the brackets were no where near the holes in the bumperettes, brackets look too short although our front bumper did have a decent hit towards the middle so they may be very bent.....

You'll need different brackets - both inner and outer. The inners aren't so difficult to make, but the outers can be tricky. You can buy them, but in the past I've just modified a spare set of inner brackets from a Mk1 rear bumper.

You can get them off eBay (UK) for about 35 pound and they are a good fit. Alternatively you can modify the existing inner bracket. As Simon has indicated, the side brackets are tricky to try to bend to the correct shape.

I have a set(maybe 2 sets) all bent up with nuts welded to suit Esc mk1 front Bumperettes, $45 inc post. And yes they are copys of the real things but thinner . PM me if ur interested
