The Thread Doctor was around today.

30mins and 130 dollars later the bolt has been removed and the water pump is back on.

Damm you just reminded me i snapped a bolt off in my block too on the alternator bracket [B)] about 6 months ago. freaks me how i;m going to get a drill in there though.

See what else i can break in the process have snapped about 3 spanners in the last few weeks

I know it's sorted now but i always found plenty of inox/wd40 and a bit of patience, alot of heat from a blow torch, and a decent set of adjustable grips got them out for me and always when putting things back together, copper grease! a must. don't mean to be condasending or anything

also by tapping/ hitting the siezed fastener my help as it will shock the fastener
there is a product by locktite called freeze it which also helps if you can get a blow torch in the area where its needed
