A very NICE register indeed however, I'm sure that with all those vehicle details and the owner information, not to mention the actual chassis and engine number, it's too much information to be just let loose on the internet! And, I'm still not sure why we need a register at all, like Wiggy333 said.

After scratching my brain I now do recall that some years ago, a Brisbane couple used to run a Capri Owners Register, Australia, which I think was run more like a Club, with a regular newsletter, rather than a vehicle register.

Anyway, that's my two bobs worth! Terry

We don't need a register but its a subject that keeps coming up so could be interesting for some.  For those that might be interested you could just have first name, state, colour, running or project status, month and year.  No need for the full chassis number or rego.

Reeni it looks like you might have been side tracked by all the D port talk.  It seems what you have is a 1971 capri with a 1972 engine most likely swapped as part of, or instead of, an engine recon.

To check if its a genuine V6 shell you would need to post chassis number and pics of engine bay for forum members to check out. There are some subtle differences between v6 and 1600 and a couple of members here know all about how to spot them.  There are some old threads on the topic you can search for.

Den, all car makers do the same thing. The date and time the car left the production line is probably hidden in the Sido number and only Ford knows that info. Cars are made stored and shipped then stored then can sit on a lot until a salesman sells it finally. How long that takes depends on the car and colour and options. Its commercially acceptable and still a new car.

The 69 you show is a part number though not a date.

The part number for the standard Capri V6 gearbox used on Australian V6/GTs is 69EG 7006 AA which agrees with your gearbox ID tag. Terry

So from what I've read tonight, ford were in some way misleading customers. If I had paid for a 2019 model ford, who in there rite mind would accept the engine and all its components from three years prior. This engine and and most components were maid 1969, gearbox included. Just don't make sense. Good night all

As GTV6 states, you need to confirm that the Chassis/Serial number on the ID plate (eg. CK17ME34040P), matches the number stamped on the body in the engine bay, either around the RH suspension or front (slam) panel AND, that the engine number are all the same! IF they don't match, then your Capri has more than likely had a reconditioned engine swap, common back in the last century. Terry

Myself and dad have no dought it's a genuine V6 gt, he has a mountain of paperwork work. It was purchased from an older Englishman. He told Dad
that engine was a special. The car was bought because it was genuine. Car number 2383. I wish to learn more about which car all its engine and part came from. Car 3004 is of interest to me, as I believe it could belong to it. Do you know who I can talk to, and ask for the list of changes that makes it one of the BS cars.
Thanks reeni
