this sounds like the way I will go im not a pro painter but have done it a lot and can also paint pearl which is hard cause of runs etc and im also gunna go with minilites or centrelines I reckon for the weels and wouldn't mine already have 1600 struts mate?

1. mine is a uk made model in Tasmania rare or common?
2. my escort compliance plate BC ESCORT 2DR what does bc stand for
3.did all models have a fuel tank on the side and also under the rear number plate has both and they are original un modded cheers guys need help

I doubt it is a UK model if the plate says BC, which is the Aussie designation - it doesn't mean anything other than it being a model code.  Post a pic of the plate up or the chassis no. and someone will decode it for you, including its build location.
 
If you have both side and under tank then chances are the side tank was retrofitted.

it wasn't retro fitted mate its all dead set original but may not be going ahead with it as all the firewall is rusted out and floor pan after closer inspection

The rust looks to be in the usual spots that escort seem to suffer from. If there is some in the firewall might be worth getting some advise from a local panel beater or car restoration place as it needs to be done correctly.
 
 

I am a mechanic so I have all the tickets I need mate so I'll need a new bulkhead and floor pan and possibly a inner passenger guard to weld in
