Very neat.. what's the plans and Spec with this transplant. I've done 4 zetec swaps so far and another 2 planned this year , and reckon they are great value for bhp ..
Keep the pics coming

Great Project! Looks nice & tidy.
$400 these days for a black top 2.0L, with 100 odd thousand on the clock, very cheap. Even when the price of fitting kit (~$3000) is added. I would look at doing it myself if it wasn't for the EFI.
Marty do you get most of the conversion stuff from retroford or are there better ways of doing it?
I see a STANDARD rebuilt 2L blacktop at Geelong Engine Reconditioners made 194BHP with a Weber Alpha (EFI) kit.
Has anyone else seen similar results?

Modern and reliable is all i am after, and finally finishing the job.
I really do not have power in mind at this stage.
Cheers Guys.

That's it.. Very reliable and cheap to run .
Hi Haydn , a stock zetec normally has between 160-175bhp so 194 is a white lie or it had work done like cams or port and raised compression. .E85 fuel also . Either way is a good figure. My mk1 zetec running R1 carbs got 110kw@ wheels (about 165bhp).
I use Retro Ford , Dunnell engines etc for water rail but everything else is fabbed up in house. I also scrap the idea to usea 1.8 flywheel and adapt a pinto clutch as a pinto clutch is rated at 140bhp at best , so i keep the zetec flywheel or buy a aluminium one from USA and keep the Focus clutch. . Yes it fits the gearbox spline so no probs there and not heavy to use either. The zetec in my van should have well over 220bhp with the mods i done to it , when it's on the road !

Nice one (remember to move the wiring loom lower down tho!).  Wish the tarmac rally regs allowed the use of a Zetec.  More power and cheaper than a full on Pinto....lighter........nicer looking.....EFI......the list goes on

Surely they can follow suit as formula ford etc with the zetec.
But compulsory Zetec/BDA look rocker cover must be used.. haha
