Personally i`d just buy a copy, but then i`m an old fashioned fart that prefers the rral thing over an electronic copy, and i wouldnt want to get my computer greasy

yep, i do the same whooligan. I always buy a manual for any car i buy and if i can get one cheap at a trash and treasure market or somewhere similar i`ll pick up another manual, kinda got a collection of aus and english car manuals. I always consider it  priority to get a manual for any car i own, the basics may be the same from one car to another but theres always something that particular vehicle has thats very specific to it.

Hi Amy,Like Whooligan and Troppo have indicated, there can be a few different versions depending on the print and the specific models it caters for; what kind of engine is it? The reason I ask, is that I've got some manuals that only relate to 1.3ltr engines; but can't remember if it dates back as far as '79.
If I find any of my 5-6 manuals, let me know the parts you're after and I'll scan them for you.

Just a quick note to say that after checking my spare room (where all my manuals were kept in moving boxes), I realise that these are still interstate with my Escort; apologies!

As Troppo mentioned, you can often get them at Treasure Markets or used book stores for a few dollars.
