Hello all,
Spent the day marking and applying some of the decals on my RS,.....
A couple of questions,.....
Can anyone give me the dimensions of the small RS logo on the rear, mine seems a bit big, either that or set that I put on 20 years ago were wrong and the new ones aren't he same?????
 
Next question, having troubles matching the side stripe to the bumper ends, I have a few photos from the day I bought it (who'd have thought they'd have come in handy I was just a snap happy teenager) They never matched properly then and the same now. Theres a bit of adjustment in the bumper and ends, Do I measure from the swage line of the car? seems straight? am I on the right track? can anyone give me some original measurements?
 
Seems a bit trivial but I spent a lot of time doing the panel gaps and after that don't want to slap the stickers on crooked.....

I've done a few  scale drawings from the old pics I have, sure enough they're different sizes, not sure if its the old or new decals that are wrong though. Any help appreciated.....

Taken when my car was only a few days old from brand new in May 1980.
The stripes roughly follow the lower body line. No way can they be perfectly straight with the rear bumper extension piece.
 

Re the rear RS2000 decal.
Included is a photo of our car that I restored to concourse a few years ago.
Size and position of decal is correct.
 
 

A friend gave me a new old stock beaver panel sticker when I built the rally car. Which I put on although it's not an RS.....
 
Can measure it tonight if you like. 

Cheers guys and thanks Peter, managed to get a scale from your pic (using the fins in the tail lights as a base) looks like the new decals are right and it was my old ones that were the wrong size, phew!!!
